Let's try that again shall we?

As of Monday...

1. I no longer have a job (my choice, not theirs...I wasn't that crap)
2. I have no clue. Nope, not a single sausage.
3. I am being honest with myself about certain unavoidable truths.
4. I am really, really happy.

So while I am waiting to hear if my application for Honours was accepted, here are a few things I want to do over the next couple of months...

1. Draw draw draw
2. Blog blog blog
3. Start a veggie garden (this has always been a Martha Stewart-type fantasy of mine)
4. Start gyming for reals
5. Get my next tattoo (Too excited...cannot wait)
6. Redo my room
7. Cook more (More on this later)
8. Make pretty things
9. Stay really, really happy.

Happy happy

Last week I went to Constantia Gift Market to see my internet-friend-but-also-we're-both-friends-with-the-same-people friend Leila...she runs Bow Peep, where she makes awesomely quirky accessories. I had to show you the lovely things I bought from her...

Ice-cream shaped cookie cutter, pretty bulldog clips, ring and sailor necklace :)

Go look at her blog and pick up some cute things, everything is super reasonable. Oh and it's her birthday today so say happy birthday!

Vulpes vulpes

It's my birthday!

I freaking love my birthday, the way a 5 year old generally does.

Guess what?
This is the year where it all happens.

Watch this space.

Back in Kansas

Hello blogland, I'm back from the lovely UK!
I would post photos now, but I'm lazy. Here are a few things that have happened over the past 6 weeks...

- I felt free, and happy, and unstuck
- I missed home (this was unexpected)
- I walked. A lot. A lesson people, Mr Price shoes are not made for such things.
- I lost someone I loved.
- I cried in the Louvre.
- I resigned from my job.
- I rethought things.
- I spoke French.
- I ate a lot of sandwiches. Like, a lot of sandwiches. More than the average person would choose to.
- I made friends on trains.
- I missed you, and still do every day.
- I finally won the bird I've coveted since day 1 of Vega
- I felt less angry

It's not good to be 21 and feeling stuck, so I'm attempting to learn how to embrace change.
Wish me luck.

She went out like a 40 watt bulb

Dear Tracey Emin

I am not sure that I will ever love anyone the way that I love you.

Things that made me laugh just a little too much...

I'm a massive nerd.

One day

I will live in a house like this...

With walls like this...

A kitchen mixer like this...

A bed like this...

A fridge like this...

Decorations like this...

A bathroom like this...

A fountain like this...

A pool like this...

A toaster like this...

Teacups like this...

A clock like this...

Garden ornaments like this...

And a lamp like this...

And I will never want to leave, it'll be that amazing. x

Miss Kotova you inspire me ;)

I know a lovely Russian lady named Olga, who has a blog that everybody should read.
She writes posts about 'being a girl who currently...'(insert fascinating facts here), so I'm inspired to do the same. I'm not as fab as her tho, so go read her blog. Now.

So I am a girl who currently...

- Doesn't know what to do with her life. That's new for me.
- Really needs to dye her hair
- Watches so much Orangutan Diary it's embarrassing
- Can't wait to have her empire with Lisa
- Counting down the days to you my loves...4 weeks!
- Roots for every underdog
- Pervs on waiters. But only very specific ones.
- Is just a little Martha Stewartish, ever so rarely
- Wants to run away
- Doesn't know what to say most of the time
- Loves her friends always, but especially now
- Likes cuddles, but forgets to draw the line (Olga is better at this)
- Thinks that you are the best part of 8pm
- Makes good cake (red velvet especially)
- Eric over Bill, every time.
- Has the cosmic horn
- Misses her Japanese girl
- Knows she's not home quite yet
- Is trying to learn that being kind is more important than being right. Or is it?
- Is nice. I promise. And you're, well, not.
- Needs something NEW. No more dusty antiques (this is figurative, I need my ceramic swans)
- Will be just fine. I think.

the false fair friends

neithers - you must let them go they
were born
to go
let all go - the
big small middling
tall bigger really
the biggest and all
things - let all go

London girl

London
My dream is to wear head to toe McQueen in London...well not my I-hope-my-life-amounts-to-this dream. Just a hope-I-grow-up-to-be-fabulous kinda dream.

Parisian
This is what some fabulous person wears in Paris. I'll probably be wearing a moonbag.

Present Swap 2

The amazing Angie of Lucky Pony (who I may or may not be a little obsessed with, not in a creepy way) organised her second Present Swap. This time I got Margot Molyneux...if you haven't heard of her then you are lame and don't spend enough time in cool shops ;) She makes the most AMAZING clothing and I couldn't believe what I received in the mail from her...

My very own sailor dress! Margot you are amazing and I absolutely love it, thank you so much!

I told you I was no good

I'm sorry you died.

Everybody still jokes about you, even now that you're dead. I don't think they realise they're fucked up too. I think we all like to feel better about our own, more socially acceptable, forms of addiction.

We only said goodbye with words, I died a hundred times. xx

Possum

So I will, I will I will start blogging again. And what better way to announce my return (to the 2 people who read this, including my mum) than a picture of my cat. Since cats are pretty much my main interest in life. Not really. But also not not really.

PS. Look at those ginger roots! Oh the shame. Outshined only by the yellow hairband. Lord.

I will be more interesting in future, pinky promise.
